Are you a person who loves creating and delivering unique experiences, connecting people and places, and working with communities? Our Programming and Partnerships Officer plays an important role in driving visits to Rowallane Garden, making memorable moments and creating reasons to return.

**Hours**:37.5 hours per week, working weekends on a rota basis as required

This is a permanent role which offers realistic salary progression based on annual reviews.

What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Visitor Operations & Experience Manager you will lead for visitor experience, programming and growing support for the Belfast portfolio. You’ll be at the forefront of creating and developing our visitor experience at Rowallane Garden and Patterson’s Spade Mill, inspiring others to exceed visitors’ expectations by ensuring the consistent quality of our visitor offer and the unique stories that we tell. You will work across the portfolio but will be based in Rowallane Garden in Saintfield, Belfast’s main pay for entry site spanning 52 acres and surrounded by a further 140 acres of farmland, the garden is home to a rare and exotic plant collection.

What you'll be doing:As part of a team, you’ll be involved in creating and delivering a programme of events and activities for our visitors. You’ll be focused on core, seasonal and national programming as well as building local partnerships in order to develop a varied year-round offer.

You will plan and organise a programme of events, trails and exhibitions, you’ll be linking these events to the places themselves to make sure they’re both relevant to our places and appealing to people.

You'll be responsible for some delegated budgets and duty management and will be recruiting and supervising volunteers.

Who we're looking forWe'd love to hear from you if you’re:

- An in-depth understanding of visitor operations and high-quality engagement with relevant experience in running events and activities, and/or working with community partners
- Ability to engage with our visitors, partners and collaborators with ease and confidence
- creative, with a passion for delivering quality visitor experiences for diverse audiences
- used to running small partner-led projects, and are familiar with audiences in the areas of heritage, culture, arts and the natural environment
- able to measure, evaluate and assess results, and show their impact
- someone who puts people first, and understands what’s needed to create a space where everyone is welcome
- organised and used to multi-tasking, working on and planning for different projects while remaining flexible and happy to work with different teams and partners, and to go wherever you’re needed to balance the workload of your team
- experience with creative systems such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Experience of managing Health, Safety, Risk and Compliance in a similar work environment
