We are a local business based in Redhill, providing home to school transport for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

We are looking for passenger assistants to work Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons in conjunction with school start and finish times. This rewarding role is accompanying children and young adults with a range of Special Educational Needs to and from school.

As a Passenger Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of children with Special Educational Needs during home to school transport. You will work in close coordination with the driver and other team members to provide a reliable and timely transport service to the children.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist children in getting on and off the vehicle safely and securely
- Assist children in securing seat belts, wheelchairs, and other equipment as required
- Provide assistance for children with mobility difficulties and those with communication and behavioural needs
- Monitor children during the journey to ensure their safety and comfort
- Provide first aid assistance and administer medication as required and trained
- Communicate and coordinate with parents, schools, and other authorities regarding any issues that arise
- Report any concerns or incidents to the management team

**Requirements**:

- Experience in working with children, particularly those with disabilities
- Knowledge of safety and emergency protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- First aid and medication administration training preferable

Work Schedule:
Typically, the working hours will be during the mornings and/or afternoons, corresponding to the home to school journeys. You will need to be available between 7.00am - 9.45am and 2.30pm-5.00pm.

The Passenger Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring disabled children can access education, socialisation, and healthcare services. If you're passionate about working with children and making a difference in their lives, this might be the right job for you.

Looking for drivers and passenger assistants in local areas: Epsom/Redhill/Reigate/Horley/Banstead

Working closely with your driver, you will be liaising between parents and schools to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in your care whilst en route from and to school. Passenger Assistants are collected from home and dropped back home after.

Any previous experience is advantageous, but not necessary.
