Complex Care Support Worker

**Pay rates: £11.00 to £13.75 per hour**
**(50p uplift of pay rates for those who hold a Level 2 or higher qualification in Health and Social Care)**

**We currently have opportunities for Support Workers to work waking night shifts in Fareham, from 09 pm to 08 am.**

As a member of our Complex Care Support Team, you will be passionate about making a difference to an individual’s life. The purpose of the role is to support our customers to achieve life goals and aspirations through social, emotional, physical and cultural requirements in a person centred way, as outlined in the customers individualised care plan, in a manner that is professional, positive and upholds the values of the SCiA Group.

We are currently looking for compassionate Complex Care Support Workers to provide support to a young man in his 20’s who currently lives in the Fareham area.

Your primary purpose will be to support this individual to live a meaningful, happy life. You will empower him to identify his goals, pursue hobbies, support his health and wellbeing and be a part of the local community. This young man enjoys sensory stimulation, being outdoors and playing ball, visiting Gunwharf Quays and my favourite place Fort Nelson. He also loves to spend time in the pool and hot tub....therefore you need to have your towel at the ready

**You will succeed because**

You’re an experienced, empathetic and resilient Support Worker, deeply committed to assisting with individuals with complex care needs which for this package will include previous experience of supporting those with complex epilepsy. You’re compassionate, observant, patient and confident in handling potentially difficult situations. We are looking for individuals who are strong in personality, but whose caring nature shines bright. You will be skilled in encouraging me to enjoy safe areas without my wheelchair and will be confident around my boxer dog and also my cat called Boris You’re able to communicate clearly and sensitively with vulnerable people and their families, and always adopt a person-centred approach.

You enjoy helping individuals to be independent through companionship, providing reassurance and enabling confidence. You take pride in doing a great job and are happy assisting with cooking, domestic duties, personal care, attending appointments and social activities. You’re keen to develop your career through training, learning and gaining relevant qualifications.
