**About the role**
Join our friendly housing team as an Asbestos Compliance and Water Hygiene Surveyor In this role, you will be undertaking programme of Asbestos Management and Water Hygiene inspections, repairs and risk mitigation activities, ensuring adherence to all regulatory, statutory and compliance requirements. You will also be registering and recording follow-up actions and outcomes and escalating as appropriate to ensure risk reduction and control measures are acted upon and secured.
Some of the duties are:
- Responsible for day to day compliance management of the Asbestos and Water Hygiene (A&WH) Service client function to ensure contractors perform successfully, in order to ensure full compliance and delivery
- To be accountable for the contract and budget management of the contracted works ensuring that contract conditions are adhered to and that the required inspection regime and audit trail is followed.
- Ensure successful partnership working with our supply chain in the delivery of capital improvement programmes.
- To ensure 100% of A&WH installations are compliant with the statutory and legal requirements in accordance with landlord’s compliance obligations
- Setup and undertake a post inspection regime for inspecting 10% of servicing work.

**About you**
We are looking for you to bring:
- Building Services, construction related qualification (e.g. BTec National/Higher National Certificate)
- Relevant Asbestos Management qualifications such as BHS P405, BHS P401 and P402 or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of Asbestos Management, British standards and building regulations and the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Approved Code of Practice HSG 227 and HSG 264
- Recognised Water hygiene/Legionella qualification (e.g.P901, CoC in Legionella) or demonstrable experience in dealing with water hygiene in a commercial business
