We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join our finance team. As a Trainee Accountant, you will gain hands-on experience in various accounting tasks, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including general ledger entries and journal entries
- Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Help with the reconciliation of bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and VAT returns
- Perform data entry and ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
- Help manage and update accounting software and spreadsheets
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Work closely with senior accountants and other team members on various financial projects
- Stay current on accounting regulations, standards, and practices to ensure compliance

**Requirements**:

- Strong interest in pursuing a career in accounting and finance
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software (experience with accounting software is a plus)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data

Pay: From £11.44 per hour
