Service Engineer

You're an experienced Maintenance Engineer seeking your first step towards field service. Perhaps you're fed up with shift work and want a days only Service Engineer role? Based at our Heywood depot, you'll be fully trained to service & repair our range of market leading industrial special purpose machinery both on-site and at customers across the UK.

**BASIC SALARY**: Up to £38,000

**JOB DESCRIPTION**: Field Service Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Multi-skilled Engineer - plant, industrial equipment, specialist machinery.

You're an experienced Engineer with the ability to carry out high quality preventative maintenance and repair work on electrical machinery. Working mainly out of our Heywood Service Depot (near Manchester) you'll be trained to carry out full servicing acrossa range of high value specialist industrial electrical powered machinery.You will also have the opportunity to travel to customer sites to service and maintain our equipment, so you should expect to spend around 4-7 nights a month away from home.

This is a day work only role, with NO shift work component, although there are opportunities for overtime.When you're working away you'll be paid door to door and your onsite working times will be 9.00-5:00, so you won't be working silly hours.As one of our key Service Engineer's you will be responsible for:

- Fault diagnosis and problem solving on three-phase motors and switchgear
- Systems Servicing
- Accurate completion of Engineer work reports and handover certificates
- Accurate job scheduling

Our special purpose machinery is deployed across a whole host of industries, including:

- Mining / quarrying / timber
- Cement & Concrete Manufacturers
- Steel & Foundry Sites
- Bulk & Mineral Storage and Transportation hubs
- Power Generation Facilities/ Energy from waste (EFW)
- Building Materials production
- Recycling facilities

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**: Field Service Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Multi-skilled Engineer - plant, industrial equipment, specialist machinery.

You WILL have experience as an Electrical Engineer, either on a single site as a Maintenance Engineer or field based as a Service Engineer.

Ultimately, experience in electrical servicing and/or installation of industrial machinery is a must, as is a full UK driving licence and the willingness to stay away from home for up to 6-7 nights a month.

You'll also have:

- A qualification in Engineering / Maintenance
- Three phase electric knowledge and experience of motors and associated switch gear built into machinery
- Factory or machinery electrical and mechanical experience
- Welding and fabrication experience would be beneficial
