**JOB TITLE: BID Events and Marketing Assistant**

**COMPANY: BH Events**

**REPORTING TO: Business Improvement District Project & Event Manager**

**WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week including occasional evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by schedule of events and board meetings**

**WORKING LOCATION: Office location in East Renfrewshire and remote working**

**TERM: Contract until June 2026, with potential for renewal**

**SALARY: £26,000-28,000 DOE**

**Role Description**

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and hardworking Events and Marketing Assistant to join our busyBusiness Improvement District management team on our portfolio of projects, initiatives and events throughout the year.

This role provides essential administrative and planning support, coordinating with external stakeholders, suppliers, and venues, across a broad range of tasks during the advance planning delivery of our projects.

**Key Tasks**:
**Marketing**

Maintaining social media accounts for three Business Improvement Districts, including, but not limited to:

- Organising social media campaigns to positively promote the towns with a focus on creating awareness about what the towns have to offer
- Organising campaigns to reach a wider and more diverse audience
- Answering online enquiries about the BID via social media
- Researching local business and community activity
- Developing a multi-platform range of digital and social media activity, to increase reach and effectiveness of existing channels. Setting up and growing a TikTok account for each BID is an important step in our marketing plan.
- Using PR, radio, press, outdoor and digital marketing to target a wider geographical audience.
- Working with local partner organisations on activities to increase overall town centre visitor footfall.
- Strengthen communication between the BID and its levy payers to keep businesses engaged and informed of BID projects and initiatives by regularly making in person visits to businesses.

**Administration**
- Distribute information to BID members via Mailchimp and printed newsletters
- Administration of Board Meetings - sending out meeting requests and agendas, plus note taking and producing minutes
- Build and maintain relationships with local community groups
- Assist with the planning, delivery and management of community led events throughout the year
- Any other BID related tasks such as diary management, attending courses or on-the-ground management of events
- Work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the success of the BID and its projects

**Requirements**:

- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills
- Computer literate, proficient in the use of software such as Google Drive and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work remotely, independently, with good initiative
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team
- Confidence in making and taking ownership of decisions
- Comprehensive understanding of social media platforms, especially Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
- Ability to conduct research, provide summaries, analysis, and recommendations
- Ability to understand different audience types and target markets, including how to build a marketing strategy around them
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including local BID members, community groups, local authority officers, Councillors, MPs and suppliers
- Ability to problem solve and think outside the box
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks, being flexible where necessary
- Confidence in delegating tasks and directing others when required
- A full drivers’ licence and access to your own car would be desirable

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 20 months

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

- Driving Licence (preferred)
