We have an exciting new opportunity for a Catalogue Buyer in our Global Product/Buying Team. This role will be based in our London office and is hybrid remote, with three days in the office. This role will be responsible for managing music catalogue across the US and EU regions as well as merch and stereo/hi-fi products globally.

The catalogue buyer will support our buying team’s operations, taking ownership of the product life cycle post release. This role requires someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and proficiency with Inventory Management Systems, ePOS systems, Shopify and Google Sheets.

The Catalogue Buyer will report directly to the Global Head of Buying.

**Responsibilities**:

- Update and maintain accurate product data and listings in Shopify and other internal inventory management systems to ensure accurate and appealing representation of items as required post-release.
- Collaborate with the Global Head of Buying to shape the strategic approach to Rough Trade’s global catalogue offer, including pricing, promotions, and reissue opportunities.
- Collaborate with all colleagues in the buying team.
- Coordinate with and provide support to the wider global buying team as required.
- Manage store ranges across all US and EU stores.
- Oversee stock movements between locations to optimise availability, margin and improve stock turn.
- Work with the e-commerce team to support the editorial and merchandising strategy of the catalogue to ensure visibility and relevance online.
- Develop efficient workflows with ERP system (Erply) to help manage the process of maintaining our product catalogue with uploaders and bulk editors.
- Creatively manage opportunities around Merch and Stereo/Hi-Fi categories to ensure appropriate new lines are being managed and maintained long term.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a buying or administrative support role, ideally within music retail.
- Experience with PIM (Product Information Management) systems and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) tools is essential.
- Proficiency with Shopify, with a solid understanding of e-commerce product management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Passion for music is a must.

This role may require work outside of the normal 9-5 work pattern to support effective working with our colleagues in New York and Berlin. It may also require ad-hoc travel to those locations as required by the business.
