**About the Role of Group SHE Manager**

As a Group SHE Manager you will be the one to Support the business leadership to creating additional value across the group through business improvement and manage assurance and compliance frameworks that the protect value created. Travel will be includedwithin this position therefore, you must have a full, valid UK driving license.

**Performance focus**:
Develop a health, safety and wellbeing plan to ensure the ESG agenda is delivered, and business objectives achieved and implemented within agreed timescales.
Contribute towards establishing and maintaining a programme of continuous improvement by investigating and analysing key trends, risks and issues.
Develop, maintain and ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies and procedures and ensure changes are communicated effectively to employees
Ensure delivery of training interventions, including toolbox talks, to raise awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements. Monitor safety training records through internal auditing.
Plan and deliver a regular programme and ad hoc health and safety inspections, monitoring completion of actions identified.
Develop, monitor and maintain accident and incident reporting procedures and observations to ensure identification of appropriate interventions including training needs.
Manage and ensure statutory health and safety reporting and accident investigations e.g., RIDDOR, liaising with the HSE where necessary.
Provide specialist advice on appropriate health and safety arrangements relevant to traffic management operations e.g., method statements, risk assessments COSHH assessments, fire risk assessments, PPE standards etc., and advise on statutory or regulatory changes
Respond to health & safety enquiries and investigate concerns raised by employees, safety representatives and members of the public, where appropriate, and take appropriate action.
Manage the requirement to consult with employees on health and safety matters, including the provision of H&S Representatives across the Group and chairing regular Group Safety Representative meetings, ensuring accurate meeting records are maintained, includingidentification and allocation of actions.
Provide regular and ad hoc health and safety reporting.
Promote Health & Safety awareness and a positive culture through HSE campaigns
Manage the relationship with the Occupational Health and Medical service provider, conducting regular erviews and action any issues/concerns.
Collaborate with the internal customer to identify and diagnose health and safety risks and issues, including long-term health and safety needs, and identify appropriate actions.
Ensure accurate management and reporting of information reflecting ESG value.
Collaborate with the ESG & Business Improvement Assessors to ensure seamless and high-quality service delivery to ensure the ESG agenda is delivered.
Collaborate with colleagues across the Group to develop and implement optimal solutions, efficiencies and profitability including wellbeing interventions.
Maintain and develop professional expertise in the role and make recommendations for improvements where appropriate.

Identify and implement actions that support the growth of our business in a profitable way that adds sustainable value.

People Focus

Develop and maintain the H&S skills, knowledge and experience of H&S Representatives and ESG & Business Improvement Assessors, to deliver the agreed objectives and respond to the changing needs of the business or statutory/regulatory requirements.
Ensure all colleagues are provided with regular and constructive feedback on their performance and behaviours.
Promote an inclusive environment that respects the broad and diverse range of people in our business and the specialist knowledge they bring to our business.
