**Training and Competency Officer - Cheltenham (hybrid working available)**

We provide our advice and service through Attivo Financial Planning, one of the very few Independent, Chartered Occupational Pension Specialist, financial planning firms in the UK. We aim to deliver the most professional, technically competent, independent advice and service to our clients. We want to be seen as a leader in the financial planning sector, to help change the standing of financial planning to be recognised as a genuine profession and to ensure we, and the profession, contribute positively to society and the economy.

**Main responsibilities**
- Conduct mandatory competency assessments and developmental skills assessments using a variety of means including live and recorded meeting observations, role plays and “tell me how” interviews
- Prepare quarterly supervision plans for Financial Planners to support performance management
- Delivery of coaching on an individual and group basis to support skills development
- Support delivery of knowledge and capability training and assessments
- Monitor and advise on appropriate CPD record keeping
- Assist in thematic advice reviews and customer outcome assessments
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the Training and Competency Programme.

**Qualifications, skills and experience**
- Minimum level 4 qualification in Regulated Financial Planning
- Experience in financial services, particularly in a training and competency, supervision, or financial planning role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to engage and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
- Analytical and able to problem solve effectively
- Confident coaching and training skills, in person on an individual basis, in groups and remotely using video conferencing technology
- Able to act as a role model for good conduct and unwavering focus on delivering good customer outcome
- Level 3 training qualification and /or supervisory qualification (e.g. AF6 or J07) would be desirable
- Experience of using Intelliflo would be an advantage
- Knowledge of retail mortgages or Pension transfer specialist supervision experience would be desirable.

**Salary and benefits**
Up to £45,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
