We have seen an increase in our learner numbers at YPLP Grantham and are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant for 16 hours a week to give additional learning and behaviour support to learners. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fantastic nurturing team who provide the best opportunities for a successful transition into employment and adulthood to some of Lincolnshire's most vulnerable 16-24 year olds.
**About the role**:
The role of Learning Support Assistant will involve:

- Working with learners on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, classroom environment or at times in the community to provide support with additional and behavioural needs
- Supporting young people to engage with education by making tasks accessible, keeping them focused, breaking things down, making adjustments, being creative and knowing the learner
- Supporting a tutor to effectively deliver relevant and engaging sessions
- Liaising with parents/carers, other staff members and a range of external agencies
- Supporting young people to manage their behaviour
- Facilitating the implementation of the young person's EHCP

**About the team**:
The Young People's Learning Provision (YPLP) is a service, provided by Lincolnshire County Council's Children's Services to offer alternative education to young people aged 16-24. YPLP offers young people Study Programmes, Traineeships and Supported Internships on a roll on roll basis in 7 sites across Lincolnshire: Boston, Grantham, Lincoln, Louth, Ruskington, Skegness and Spalding.
