Team Leader

We are looking for a Team Leader join our small, friendly online order team, managing the day to day operations for our retail store’s busy website business, which will include picking and packing orders on a day to day basis.

The Team Leader will assist our management team day to day by ensuring that our processes are implemented and followed so the business runs smoothly.

We will shortly be moving to a warehouse set up in Cardiff from our current offices (in the same location).

This will be a real “roll your sleeves up” type of role, and you will be expected to do everything from the ground up. The majority of your role will be picking and packing orders alongside other team members, but you will be expected to have the extra responsibility of ensuring the processes run smoothly, are managed effectively, stock issues and count are managed to perfection and you will have the knowledge to handle problems as they arise.

You must also be happy to work shifts on your own at times throughout the weeks (shifts are a mix of lone working and team working each week).

This role has the potential to grow with the business to take on more roles and responsibilities as the company expands

**The Daily Role**:

- Pick and pack orders and manage daily collections with our courier and postal services
- Supervise the website packing team in all functions including stock and supply deliveries
- Working alongside the website packing team to fulfil daily dispatch targets
- To communicate and work together with other staff to ensure targets are met
- To deliver training to new staff members and refresher training (including specific systems and health and safety training) in all relevant warehouse/stock room functions
- Adhere to all H&S policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all staff
- Maintaining correct stock levels and organisation including stock checks and counts
- Organise transfers from main warehouse to our retail store alongside our retail staff, and vice versa
- Maintain relevant paperwork, storage records and standards for accurate accounting of incoming deliveries
- Flag up concerns or errors in paperwork from transfers or deliveries with management
- Ensure there are enough packing supplies to maintain the day to day operation of the business
- To be an active key holder to the warehouse and responsible for out of hours emergencies
- Be open to covering sickness and holidays as and when required

Basic computer skills are required as there are computer processes that are required to be carried out processing orders to be packed and inventory management.

As well as being self-motivated, attention to detail and the ability to work accurately is a must.

Knowledge of American confectionary (sweets, chocolate, drinks, snacks) is an advantage but not essential.

**Your Experience**

To be considered for the Team Leader role you will need to possess direct experience of managing team a small team.

Additionally, it is crucial that you possess strong communication skills and good leadership skills.
