**Who are Bird & Blend Tea co?**

Bird & Blend was set up and is run by Krisi and Mike, who met whilst studying Politics (of all things) at university. Starting off packing tea in their bedroom and attending markets, building Bird & Blend from scratch while staying true to our ethos and values has been Krisi and Mike’s passion. Now with an awesome team, multiple retail stores & a thriving international online store, Bird & Blend is leading the way in tea innovation in the UK.

We are now looking to recruit a part time Team Leader for our Cardiff store. The Ideal Team Leader will have some supervisory experience and be super passionate about great customer experiences. This role has the scope to become a Trainee store Manager position in 8-12 months time.

**What does a Team Leader do?**

The role of Team Leader in our stores is to support the effective day to day running of the store. Working alongside the Store & Trainee Store Manager, Team Leaders are responsible for leading and Inspiring the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

Our Team leaders step up in the absence of a manager to both delegate & support their team as well as maintaining a safe, clean & commercial environment.

What would my responsibilities be?
- Ensuring that the customer experience is being delivered. Leading by example and encouraging the team to follow suit.
- Responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the store, Including opening & closing the store, communicating targets to the team, and ensuring that both store & health and safety standards are met.
- Communicating clearly with the Store & Trainee Store manager to ensure the store is running effectively & daily, weekly and monthly tasks are completed.
- Delegation of jobs to team members, following them up & communicating with the store & trainee manager on the completion of work load.
- Ensuring the store is full, clean & tidy at all times.
- Ensuring accurate stock management, including wastage and incoming stock.
- To make sure the store samples are relevant, tasty and displayed in a clean and organized manner
- To ensure the kitchen is maintained, all ingredients and non consumables are available.
- To support the team with enquires/ issues in the absence of a manager
- To implement any business changes as communicated in the absence of a manager.
- Completing ad hoc tasks as delegated by your manager.
