Our client is recruiting for an Electrical Technician to assist at their R&D facility in Southampton. The engineer will support from a machine development, installation and commissioning perspective and so strong engineering qualities are required

Main duties will include but are not limited to:

- Operational safety on and around the production assembly area - ensure works order instruction processes, such as working at height, working with unguarded machinery etc, are in place and adhered to
- Production machinery operation starting / stopping and setting / gauge setting the production machinery.
- Loading and unloading of materials and carrying out product measurements using instrumentation and gauges supplied (Training will be given)
- Completing start up and close procedures.
- Documenting sample manufacture and machinery performance / maintenances log.
- Electrical wiring / installation / modification of electrical components and maintenance of associated technical documentation.
- Electrical fault diagnoses, participate in problem solving activities related to production machinery
- Provide information to update training materials for the production process (i.e., Standard operating practices, Machinery settings, description of production processes).

A working knowledge of Beckhoff or Schneider motion control systems / industrial plc's is also required within this role as is experience of working with servo motion assembly machinery.

**SALARY**:
**£400-£450 per day (Umbrella)**

**£300-£335 per day (PAYE)**

**Hours: 35 per week
