**About the role**

Based in Bury, you will be tasked with:

- Support of provision of bookkeeping services
- Entering clients' accounts onto Sage or other appropriate bookkeeping system (in-house or on site)
- Purchase ledger and sales ledger processing
- Bank reconciliations
- Accounts to trial balance
- Monthly VAT returns meeting HMRC deadlines
- Managing own portfolio of clients
- Visiting clients as and when required to assist with book-keeping function (own car required)
- Special one-off assignments for clients, i.e., training, problems and providing cover for emergencies

**About you**
- Bookkeeping experience (3+ years preferred)
- Working knowledge of VAT returns
- Fully competent on excel and outlook
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written
- Use of own initiative
- Good team player
- Highly organised and ability to prioritise own workload
- Effective attention to detail
- A degree of flexibility in hours worked to allow for travel to/from clients as and when required

Experience is also preferable in:

- Xero and Sage 50
- DEXT or similar products desirable

- **Salary**:Up to £28,000
