**Technical Assistant**
**Two Roles Available - 18 Month Fixed Term with possibility of going permanent**

**Job Purpose**
Working on a range of R&D projects, you will support activities in one or more of the following areas; developing new products and technologies, developing a fundamental understanding of key coating attributes or testing/supporting existing technologies, products and processes
**Responsibilities**:
- Use best practice/past solutions to design, develop, carry-out, evaluate & interpret experiments.
- Manage the planning & day-to-day requirements for assigned projects/support activities.
- Collate results & produce reports.
- Make recommendations for next steps & communicate key results to colleagues.
- Conduct, participate & evaluate trials/inspections.
- Help identify improvement needs & generate ideas for improvement activities/projects.
- Work safely & comply with legal & company regulations.
**Job Requirements**
- Secondary education & 6 BCF Level 3, NACE 1, City & Guilds equivalent.
- Experience working in a busy laboratory.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
