Exciting new challenge for a full time Senior Support worker supporting adults with complex mental health issues/challenging behaviour to achieve their personal recovery / support plans, as well as helping people build up their confidence. you will be providing care and support to customers at our friendly home for up to 9 people. You will be working 35 hours a week over 7 days, 24 hours a day.
Key duties will include personal care, enhancing the social and emotional wellbeing of customers, creating a comfortable and stimulating environment for customers, encouraging and assisting staff to maintain and develop good practice, administering medication in line with qualified medical guidance and care plans, assisting in the development and training of staff, promoting customer involvement in shaping and monitoring services, and ensuring that customer care plans and risk assessments are followed.
Essential Criteria:
NVQ / QCF Level 3 in health and social care, this is essential to the role.

Demonstrates a sensitive and supportive approach to vulnerable people maintaining their dignity and self respect at all times
Ability to motivate and develop people
Ability to understand and record information clearly
Ability to work under pressure and react to changing situations
Ability to review customer plans
Ability to assist customers within the confines of manual handling techniques
Ability to work flexibly within a shift system
Health and Social Care Diploma at Level 3 or equivalent
Knowledge and understanding of health and social care legislation
Experience of staff management in a health and social care environment
Supervision experience
Ability to assist in the implementation and review of risk assessments

Rate of pay is £11.40- £11.90 per hour, depending on experience.

- supervisory: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ / QCF Level 3 Health & Social Care (required)
