We have a unique opportunity for a **Finance Assistant** to join our Finance Team, based at our **Fender EMEA** head office in **East Grinstead**. This position assists the Senior Finance Manager, Overheads in the day-to-day running of the Fender EMEA countries. **About the opportunity**: - Ensure compliance with all company policies and standard operating procedures and identify/establish internal controls and ensure their operating effectiveness. - Create and maintain up to date vendor information in Fender EMEA's operating system, AS400, - Process vendor invoices into Accounts Payable module accurately and in a timely manner, including the controlling and monitoring of incoming post. - Ensure Purchase orders are created correctly and assist departments with training and support to resolve any issues before month end. - Process payments to vendors within agreed payment terms. - Administration of Fender EMEA's expense management system, SAP Concur, including providing staff support throughout the process. - Month end prepayments and accruals and subsequent reconciliation of control accounts. - Monthly review of Overhead expenditure, with variance analysis to budget and prior year. - Assist in the forecast and annual budget of Overhead expenditure to include variance analysis versus prior year and budget. - Provide support to Senior Finance Manager, Overheads on projects. - Cover for other accounting teams during absence and holiday. - Identify approved process improvements and implement them once approved. This is an indication of the main responsibilities of the role and the Company reserves the right to amend the content of the role at its discretion. ***About your talent**: Essential skills, experience and education: - Practical experience of working in a finance function for a medium sized company. - Practical experience of Accounts Payable functions and liaising with vendors. - Attention to detail. - Deadline driven with the ability to remain calm under pressure. - Proactive. - Multi-tasking, flexible and adaptable. - Excel (intermediate level) and Word experience. Desirable qualities: - AS400. - Concur SAP. - SAP. - Fluent in another European language, desirable but not essential.
