**THE POST - Post Doctorate Research Assistant (PDRA) for Net zero heating technologies within buildings**

You will join a dedicated team who strive to continuously inspire our students and wider University community - and, through modern teaching and impactful research, continue to deliver innovative solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges.

This Post Doctorate Research Assistant (PDRA) position will contribute to the - of new Centre for Net Zero High Density Buildings (CeNZ-HighDB). CeNZ-HighDB is funded by UKRI and led by the University of Edinburgh with University of the West of Scotland being the strategic collaborating partner leading on the thematic area of Heating-Cooling and Energy storage within Buildings i.e. (TWG-II).

The PDRA is expected to contribute to funded projects with industry and other academics by implementing research and development, outreach and industry partner collaboration across a portfolio of projects at, and in collaboration with colleagues at other Scottish Universities and public and private stakeholders
- A first degree with significant relevant experience in energy storage and sensor technology relevant to buildings.
- Evidence of research in energy, with a specific focus on innovative energy and heat storage systems in buildings or a closely related area.
- Experience of associated sensors relevant to building monitoring and control.
- Practical experience of medium to large-scale experimental work programmes.
- Experience in delivering research project results in an academic and industrial context, i.e. submission of manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals and conferences in a relevant area.
- Capable of working collaboratively with PDRAs/Researchers/from different disciplines or technical backgrounds.
- Capable of working independently, exercising a high degree of initiative and demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet agreed milestones.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
