**Position Overview**

A new and exciting luxury lodge resort set in the grounds of Chester Zoo is opening August 2025 and we are on the lookout for a Night Receptionist to join the team.

The Reserve is an exciting development of 51 savannah inspired luxury lodges, overlooking a beautiful lake or our giraffe habitat and connecting directly to the stunning Heart of Africa zone of Chester Zoo. From immersive experiences to quiet relaxation, The Reserve is a place to make lasting memories.

**The Role**

As Night Receptionist, you will ensure a smooth, secure, and friendly service during the overnight hours. From handling late check-ins and early departures to providing assistance and ensuring guest comfort, you’ll be key in delivering a seamless experience around the clock.

**Responsibilities**:

- Welcome and check in late-arriving guests
- Assist with guest queries, requests, and any incidents that occur overnight
- Prepare reports and support the night audit process
- Ensure the lobby and reception areas remain tidy and secure
- Liaise with all departments to maintain guest safety and comfort
- Handle, reservations, and early check-outs
- Respond to any operational needs with professionalism and calm
- Communicate effectively with the Chester Zoo team

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Previous experience in a similar hotel night role.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations and guest service excellence.
- Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of hotel systems is a plus.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- A team player who leads by example, even when the rest of the world is sleeping.'¯
