**About the Analytical Expert role**:
Due to a significant investment, CatSci is expanding its capabilities into the oligonucleotide space as innovative technology offering new therapeutic opportunities to treat previously unmet patients' needs. Our investment will further accelerate the development and manufacture of these complex molecules.

We are now looking to appoint a new member to join our Analytical Team based in Cardiff and support their work in method development and validation on various pharmaceutical projects, with a focus on oligonucleotide capabilities. You will demonstrate an in-depth and comprehensive experience and understanding of analytical techniques, including but not limited to UPLC/HPLC, GC and LC-MS. As Analytical Expert, you will demonstrate a broad understanding of analytical development gained in an industrial setting.

**Your Impact as Analytical Expert**:

- Acting as the Analytical Lead on customer projects, taking personal responsibility for the quality, integrity, communication, and delivery of science on your projects, and maintaining solid operational relationships with customers
- Development of analytical methods for small molecule APIs and oligonucleotides (such as LC-MS) and novel solutions that accelerate PR&D to meet customer expectations and timelines
- Analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting working as one team with other members of the PR&D group
- Application of digital tools and approaches to deliver fast and efficient process understanding for our clients

**Requirements for **Analytical Expert**:

- Proven ability to develop scientifically sound and robust methods of analysis using LC-MS, and other related techniques
- Broad experience in analytical science with expertise in a field applied to the development of pharmaceutical products
- The ability to recognise atypical data in chromatographic and spectroscopic results and the talent to resolve those issues
- Well-developed data management and visualisation skills
- An appreciation of, or expertise in, GMP and/or oligonucleotides would be advantageous

**Benefits**:
