**Your job**:
As a Corporate Tax Partner for Viking’s UK and Ireland operations you will provide detailed tax insights into the implications of business and legislation changes. You will minimise tax risks within the business, identify and implement tax P&L and cashflowsavings. You will be the company’s expert for solicited and unsolicited tax advice on such potential improvements.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Prepare UK and Ireland corporate income tax returns for the companies across the group
- Calculate corporate income tax payments on account for the UK and Irish companies
- Work with the rest of Group Tax to ensure that the UK companies comply with group and statutory accounts tax reporting requirements. This involves working to tight deadlines and involves preparing tax calculations, providing tax journals to the Financedepartment and assisting with the tax consolidation process
- Provide UK and Irish tax technical support to the business (corporate income tax, VAT, customs duty and payroll taxes)
- Provide technical review of VAT and Intrastat returns prior to their submission
- Obtain a thorough understanding of how the business operates, such that the impact of changes to tax legislation are quickly identified and addressed
- Assist the Group CFO in identifying tax opportunities and resolving tax issues arising from the Group's UK business activities to ensure we are tax compliant and pay the correct amount of tax
- Ongoing maintenance and control of complex transfer pricing model
- Support the Group CFO with pan-European transfer pricing matters and ensure transfer pricing documentation is up to date
- Support the Group CFO on group-wide tax and business projects
**Your profile**:
**Essential**
- Must hold relevant professional qualification (CTA and / or ACA)
- Significant relevant experience preferably from previous in-house positions
- Ability to provide and present accurate, consistent and timely information
- Ability to ascertain the requirements of the business in relation to the provision of tax and financial information
