**Critical Care Technologist**
**Location**: Denmark Hill, London
**Salary**: £36,000 - 43,800 per annum + up to 12% annual bonus
**Contract Type**: Permanent, Full-time
**The Role**:
We are seeking a **Critical Care Technologist** to join our dedicated team within the Adult Critical Care Units (ACCU) and Cardiac Recovery Unit (CRU). Reporting to the Lead Critical Care Technologists, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining medical equipment to ensure optimal patient care. You will be joining a team who are motivated to deliver the best possible service while demonstrating our values and behaviours. It is important that you can demonstrate your initiative, enthusiasm and commitment to training and development as the work you do will have an indirect but significant impact on patient care.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot critical care equipment, including decontamination, servicing, and record-keeping.
- Perform daily checks, calibration, and quality control of medical devices, including blood gas analysers and patient monitors.
- Train and orientate new staff on equipment usage and safety protocols.
- Support departmental research and development projects.
- Liaise with teams to ensure stock levels of specialised consumables and sterile instruments.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- A degree in physiology, biomedical engineering, or a relevant science field, or equivalent technical experience in a Critical Care environment (minimum 1 year).
- Experience working with medical devices and knowledge of current instrumentation and measurement techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Teams.
