An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 3 Therapy Support Worker (0.8WTE) to join the Cystic Fibrosis and Respiratory Outpatient team. The role will involve providing exercise programmes for patients with Chronic Respiratory disease in a variety of settings including inpatients/outpatients/community/virtual work and group classes.

Main duties of the job

The role also involves a number of light administrative duties that to ensure that the Respiratory outpatient service and the Cystic Fibrosis unit runs smoothly.

They must be keen to develop their exercise skills, ambitious and flexible. Both the Cystic Fibrosis and Respiratory Outpatient Services are going through an exciting time of change and this is a great opportunity to be part of a rapidly developing team and be part of an innovative project.

Our HCPC registered AHP professionals comprise of physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, orthotists, prosthetists and speech and language therapists, and our other staff encompass professionals such as nurses, psychologists, administrative and clerical and support workers. We have a Chief AHP to lead us on our strategic direction, and many of the pathway leadership team have pathway AHP backgrounds to support our staff. There are also Practice Development Therapists to support career development for all.

The post is that of a physiotherapy assistant providing specific assessments and treatment to patients under the guidance and supervision of a registered therapist. Some clerical and administration tasks will also be undertaken (eg keeping records, filing or arranging appointments as appropriate). When working with in-patients, the role will be to provide rehabilitation and interventions to facilitate the safe discharge of patients.

Essential criteria
- GCSE (A-C) or equivalent in English and Mathematics
- Previous experience as a Physiotherapy or Health / Rehab Care Assistant

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
