RK Accountancy are partnering with a well established manufacturing client based in Blackburn, who are looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller with recent manufacturing and product costing experience.

Please note that this opportunity would suit a QBE, part-qualified or Qualified Accountant. The role would also suit a Management Accountant, who is looking for the next step up.

**Job Title**: Financial Controller

**Salary**: 45-60k depending upon experience and qualification

**Financial Controller Job Purpose**:
Reporting to the Group Finance Director in regard all Financial, Costing and Accounting activities.Overseeing finance department staff with the support of the Finance Office Manager in day-to-day operations.

**Financial Controller Job Duties**:
Preparation of company accounts for the UK sites

Report to the Group Finance Director with timely and accurate financial information

Prepare timely finance schedules, for review by Group Finance Director, and submit to the US whilst adhering to strict deadlines

Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and reviewing weekly internal reports

Work with Finance Office Manager to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of Finance department staff

Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and checked for discrepancies

Work closely with the Group Finance Director to develop Costing systems, procedures and reporting for the company

Liaise with other departments across Blackburn sites to prepare, maintain and present periodic KPI’s and report to Senior Management Team

Be prepared to undertake a small amount of fully expensed travel to the US or Poland for either development, Annual Conference or periodic reporting.

**Financial Controller Skills and Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting, or a related field, or similar

Several years of experience in a finance environment, preferably in manufacturing, with management and supervisory experience

Advanced Excel skills.
