**Work Location: Stoke on Trent (ST2 & ST7)**

**Salary Range: £27,435.20 - 36,576.80 (depending on experience and qualification)**

**Shift: 2on 4off (including sleeps + Bank shift)**

**Reports to: Registered Manager**

**Your Role**
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children and young people.
- Support care plans, development goals, and emotional wellbeing.
- Promote safeguarding, routines, and behavioural boundaries.
- Engage young people in education, recreation, and daily life skills.
- Act as a key worker and lead shifts where appropriate.
- Maintain records and liaise with families and external professionals.

**What we are looking for**

**Essential**:

- Ability to build positive relationships with young people and colleagues.
- Resilience, adaptability, and calmness under pressure.
- Inclusive, rights-based approach to care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (or willing to learn).
- Positive role model with integrity and professionalism.
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and sleep-ins.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Commitment to ongoing development.

**Desirable**:

- Experience working with children or vulnerable people.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of child development, trauma, and safeguarding.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
