ACCORD Hospice provides palliative and end of life care to people living with or affected by a life limiting illness in Renfrewshire and parts of East Renfrewshire. ACCORD Hospice supports people in the community and their families. ACCORD believes thateven though they cannot add days into life, they can add life into days. Their aim is to be with them every step of the way, helping them to make every moment count and to stay as well as possible for as long as possible.
The services that they provide are tailored to each person’s individual needs, to improve their quality of life and relieve the stress that serious illness brings. Each patient has a unique story, and they always see the person, not their illness.
A new position at ACCORD Hospice has become available and they are looking for a new Community Fundraiser to join their team. As a Community Fundraiser, you will be the face of ACCORD Hospice in the community. Your role will be to support, develop and inspiresupporters and volunteers to ensure the local fundraising activity is effective. This will involve engagement with individual supporters, community groups, local businesses, and schools. You will work with these groups and individuals to help grow the fundraisingincome and local profile.
To be successful in the role, you will be someone who has a talent for building and nurturing great working relationships. These skills could come from having great customer service experience. You will also have experience in income generation through thevoluntary sector or another sector if you are able to demonstrate transferable skills. The Community Fundraiser will be someone who is able to be an excellent storyteller and can inspire the community.
This role will allow you to work flexibly and have hybrid working opportunities. This role has an annual leave entitlement of 35 which increases incrementally.
