Hull Culture and Leisure is seeking to recruit 2 x 37hr Customer Advisors for Hull Central Library and 17.5hr post for Bransholme Library, who will be responsible for delivering library services across the city.

You will need to demonstrate experience of working in a library or community facility and have 4 GCSEs or an appropriate equivalent qualification, including literacy and numeracy.

It is essential you have a flexible approach to work, the hours of the post include evenings and Saturday’s.

Skills and experience required include:

- Experience of working within an operational environment which includes experience of dealing with the public on a face to face basis.
- A commitment to a high level of customer service which can be demonstrated through previous work or volunteering experience.
- The ability to work on own initiative as well as contributing to work as a team.
- Proven communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and written, to deal sensitively with customers.
- Ability to record information that makes both the enquiry and response given clear to all.

Awareness of personal responsibilities in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues, with the ability to demonstrate neutrality and remain professional at all times.
