Education Welfare Officer

**Overview**
The Welfare Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the well-being and development of individuals within the community or organisation. This position involves providing guidance, assistance, and resources to ensure that individuals can thrive in their personal and professional lives. The Welfare Officer will work closely with various stakeholders to promote a positive environment and address any welfare-related concerns.
**Duties**
- Conduct regular assessments of individual needs and welfare concerns.
- Develop and implement support plans tailored to the specific requirements of individuals.
- Provide advice and guidance on welfare-related issues, including mental health, education, and social services.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate welfare support into educational programmes.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions aimed at enhancing personal development and resilience.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress made by individuals receiving support.
- Act as a liaison between individuals and external agencies or services when necessary.
- Monitor the effectiveness of welfare initiatives and make recommendations for improvements.
**Qualifications**
- A background in social work, counselling, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in teaching or educational support is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse groups.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Pay: From £31,664.00 per year
