**_ Location: Reading (Home Based, Client sites across this region)_**

**_ £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + Car allowance + London Weighting allowance_**

**_ Are you an experienced health and safety consultant who is looking for a hybrid work environment that allows you to manage your own workload?_**

Carriera has a fantastic opportunity for you to showcase your knowledge & talent as a health and safety professional. We are currently working with a consultancy who has projects across the country, and are currently in need of a consultant to manage client sites around Reading. You will **NOT** be required to travel into the main office.

Our client is an independent, multi-disciplined health, safety, and environment consultancy. Our client covers a range of sectors within construction, with projects in demolition, retail, facilities, offices, business start-ups, education, science & technology, manufacturing & more.

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete safety audits of customer workplace and health and safety management systems as required and provide clear, transparent action points and recommendations.
- Complete robust, clearly defined Health & Safety inspections together with associated reports that are clear, transparent in their recommendations and detail the required corrective actions to be completed.
- You will follow the latest legislation and compliance.
- Take part in Toolbox talks, Risk Assessments (RAMS) and Method Statements.
- Write reports and undertake health and safety presentations whilst dealing with clients.
- Generate safety reports, plans and further documentation as required.
- Train people in as many aspects of health and safety as you are competent to do so.
- Attend and participate within client health and safety meetings to provide proactive commercially driven guidance / best practice on all safety management issues.
- Attend all continual professional development training and meetings as required to network with other consultants thus ensuring best practice safety management techniques are shared and used for the benefit of clients.

**About you**
- Membership to IOSH (TechIOSH, GradIOSH, CMIOSH) (Essential)
- Full UK Driver’s License (Essential)
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or General Certificate or Level 3 Equivalent (Essential)
- NEBOSH Fire Safety Management or equivalent (Essential)
- Previous experience in a similar role (Construction / Manufacturing / Engineering)
- Comfortable working at height or confined spaces
