Authorising clinician annual leave, ensuring high peak periods are granted fairly and ensuring future planning is completed and recorded via GP TeamNet. Proactively managing clinical locum cover needed; completing regular monthly future planning to for-see any areas whereby cover may be required. Following protocols to ensure cover is sourced in house wherever possible, liaising with selected external locum Drs whereby internal cover may not be possible. Ensuring any potential external Dr who is suitable is directed to HR to be added to the trusted locum list.

Regular reporting of appointment data Updating clinical sessions within SystmOne as required Liaising with managers, clinicians and partners when requests are made for clinical changes. Assurance of adequate clinical cover Actioning notifications of sickness/urgent leave to ensure service levels are always adhered to. Ensuring non patient facing sessions and annual leave/training/study leave etc are updated within SystmOne. To understand the core operational needs of SCGP and how this may change due to PCN specification requirements/NHS guidelines etc, as well as the growth and demographic data of our patient database.
