**Overview**

Atkins Search are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Major Loss Adjuster to join a leading Insurance company based in Manchester.

Please note that Quantity Surveyors and Building Surveyors who specialise in Loss Adjusting will also be considered for this role.

**Role**

The Major Loss Adjuster job may suit an experienced Adjuster or Surveyor with experience in the commercial sector looking for a new challenge or if you’re seeking a change of career direction in the dynamic world of insurance loss adjusting.

**Responsibilities**

Working closely with a team of claims and technical professionals, as Major Loss Adjuster you will ensure that all insurance claims are dealt with accordingly and in the correct manner.
- Assisting in the calculation of reserves for damage to buildings
- Monitoring and validation of costs
- Procurement advice
- Insurance reinstatement cost assessments
- Report writing

**Person**
- MRICS qualified
- Good QS skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good excel and report writing skills
- Ability to analyse cost data and trends
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Knowledge of Commercial Buildings, M&E Services, Civil Engineering and Utilities
- Conversant with standard forms of building contract
- Must be focused on producing high quality work to tight deadlines
- Inquisitive and keen to expand knowledge
- Home based working covering the north of England, ideally based in the Northwest

Pay: £50,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
