We are seeking a friendly and customer centric Garden Centre Assistant to join our team.

he post holder will primarily work indoors in our gifts, furniture, and indoor plants sections and will play a crucial role in assisting customers, and ensuring the garden centre is an inviting and inspiring space.

Please note that this role involves manual tasks, including standing, lifting, and carrying.

**Hours of Work**

Three days per week, with one weekend day included

All shifts include a 30-minute unpaid break for lunch.

Closed Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 27th December and New Year’s Day.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Create and maintain attractive merchandise displays, ensuring the centre is tidy and well-organised.
- Greet and assist customers with gift selection, advice, and purchases.
- Operate the till and handle enquiries about products and services.
- Maintenance of the car park and trolly areas.
- Ensure the Garden Centre is thoroughly cleaned at the end of the shift.
- A genuine interest and knowledge in home/gifts.
- Friendly, approachable, and able to provide excellent service.
- Previous experience in a retail or garden centre setting.
- Adaptable by nature.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Thrives in team oriented environments.
- Takes pride in their work.
