Front Desk Attendant

**Job Purpose**
To ensure the smooth, safe, and supportive running of a hotel for residents and staff. To monitor and enforce property rules, ensure safety, provide basic support for residents.
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Supervising the property to ensure safety & security.
- Performing regular welfare checks and responding to emergencies.
- Monitoring access and ensuring hotel policies are followed by residents.
- Reporting and coordinating maintenance and repairs.
- Promoting a safe, respectful, and clean environment (common areas, sleeping areas).
- Documenting incidents, keeping logs, and recording breaches or concerns.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, fire & safeguarding standards.
- May involve working unsociable hours: evenings, weekends, bank holidays, depending on hotel rota.
**Person Specification**
**Essential Skills & Qualities**
- Good communication skills: able to talk and listen with residents, staff, and partner agencies.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure / in conflict situations.
- Capacity to work alone when needed, and as part of a team.
- Good observational and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic record‑keeping skills.
- Understands confidentiality and discretion.
- Reliability, punctuality, flexibility.
**Desirable**
- Previous experience working in a hotel, supported housing or similar environment.
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
