**Overview**:

- Walton Street Cycles is seeking a dedicated, friendly, organised, and hardworking individual to join our team. _
- The role is very varied and will require a good team player who is also capable of working on their own initiative. _
- The role will be based in our busy shop on the front counter. You will be the first port of call for customers visiting or contacting the shop and will always be expected to be helpful and courteous. We take pride in spending time to understand each of our customers’ requirements and making sure they leave the shop with the best solution, whether that be a new bike, accessory, or advice. _
- Unlike most bike shops you will find we run a close-knit team who get involved in all aspects of the business. We repair, we sell, we hire, and we also run popular tourist day tours and excursions, we even have long term cycle touring holidays through the Cotswolds. _
- Overall, we specialise in all types of bikes and cycling and we get to see all of the latest product on the market as well as very early technology. _
- Our current new bike brands include; Brompton, Scott, Steed, Pashley, Kona, Gazelle, Dawes, Claud Butler, Roland, Squish & PUKY. _

**Responsibilities**
- _Helping customers with all general enquiries_
- _New & Used bike sales _
- _Accessory sales_
- _Assessing and booking in workshop repairs _
- _Booking & renting hire bikes _
- _Booking & helping tours leave _
- _Cash handling _
- _Ensuring shop display is stocked and presentable _
- _Helping with opening and closing shop_

**About us**
- We are Oxfordshire’s oldest bicycle shop; we are proud of our heritage and always strive to provide our customers with a great experience. We run a very busy shop, rental fleet, tours and workshop taking pride in our repairs, we believe in honest hard work and providing ongoing training and development skills for all members of staff - we want our team to be the best and invest in achieving this. _
- We are an accredited Shimano Service Centre and Shimano Premium e-bike centre. We have the best equipped and largest workshop in Oxford._
- We currently employ 13 full time members of staff and 2 part time members. _

**Working Hours & holiday**
- _Saturday and Sunday 09:00 - 17:00, Sunday 10:00 - 16:00 _
- _Holiday entitlement is calculated pro-rata. We are open most bank holidays and anytime off will need to be booked in advance._

- _Used bikes can be sold through the shop but must be completed in personal time and offered with a 3-month guarantee._

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £10.00-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14 per week
