**Senior Housing Support Worker**

**Location**: Grimsby/Hull

**Salary**: £26,678 per year (includes £200 for unsociable hours) This role is also eligible for a one-off retention payment of £1,000 upon successfully completing 9 months service*

**Hours**: Working hours are 8 hours per day, shift patterns and flexibility will be discussed during the interview. (The provision of the contract is between 08:00 and 22:00

**This role requires regular travel across an allocated area and therefore, a Full Driving License and access to your own vehicle are essential. You will be able to claim mileage expenses from base location (to be ascertained) at 45p for every mile travelled.**
- An Enhanced DBS and Prison Clearance is required for this role. These will be completed as part of the Pre-Employment Screening process. _

**What You’ll Do**

As a senior support worker, you will act as a senior operational practitioner working across the area guiding and supporting teams in matters of practice, quality, performance, compliance, and resource management and carry a caseload of complex need service users. Line manages support workers as needed for temporary periods; deputising for Service Leads and be a key role in supporting targeted failings services.

Improve the lives of service users by co-ordinating the provision of direct housing related support and housing management services by working with area operational and central support teams and liaising with a range of external agencies and partners

**Lead and Support**: Act as a senior practitioner, mentoring teams, and ensuring exceptional service quality.
**Deliver Results**: Oversee housing support services, reduce arrears, and maintain high performance standards.
**Drive Improvements**: Develop and implement service improvement plans and support audits.
**Champion Safeguarding**: Be the go-to expert for safeguarding, managing incidents, and working with external agencies.

**Be the Expert**: Represent services in professional meetings, complex case reviews, and policy development.
**On-Call Support**: Participate in the on-call rota to provide critical support when needed.

**What We Need from You**
- **Experience**: Proven background in housing support, social justice, or similar.
- **Leadership Skills**: Comfortable guiding teams and managing complex cases.
- **Knowledgeable**: Strong understanding of safeguarding and housing legislation.
- **Driving License**: Full UK license and access to your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
- **Flexibility**: Willing to travel and adapt to different services when required.
