HR Advisor

Currently a team of four looking to grow to five.

**BASIC SALARY**: £30,000 - £35,000

**LOCATION**: Derby - You will be based at Derby but will need to be mobile to travel to our London and Southampton sites.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**: People Advisor, HR Advisor, HR Officer - Food manufacturer

As our HR Advisor, you will work closely with the People Business Partner and the team (HR Admin, L&D and another Advisor) to offer support, guidance and assistance to the wider workforce. We have 3 sites across the UK with c450 colleagues, 350 in Derby, 50in London and 40 in Southampton. There will be lots of project work required but you will also need to be happy to deal with and complete the day-to-day workload of a busy HR office.

Your primary focus is supporting and developing the employees and their line managers in parallel with the business aspirations.

You will:

- Act as first and second line support with all enquiries.
- Manage all correspondence relating to employees (contracts, wage reviews, PDR's, letters of employment, leavers, absence etc).
- Support managers and outsourced partners with recruitment, job / person specifications, SOP's, PDR's and any challenges with staff performance.
- On board new recruits to ensure they have all the relevant training / understand the business culture.
- Travel to other sites (North London and Southampton) when required. This is possibly once a fortnight

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**: People Advisor, HR Advisor, HR Officer - Food manufacturer

Regardless of your background, you will be a self-starter who is happy working on your own initiative, any experience of fast paced manufacturing is a distinct advantage. Resilience, patience, agility and adaptability will be key characteristics you would useto describe yourself
- A proven track record of looking after a workforce of 100+ and ideally multi site.
- Strong experience as a HR Advisor or Generalist.
- A CIPD qualification, certainly to Level 3 and ideally Level 5 - however we will gladly talk to people working towards their accreditation.
- The ability to demonstrate experience of handling organisational change and all other L&D challenges (recruitment, training, tracking skills, developing staff & conflict management).
