**Yorkshire Housing is looking for a Damp and Mould Multiskilled Operative** to join our Repairs team in the **York and Malton region**. If you’re a skilled tradesperson with a passion for improving homes and helping customers live safely and comfortably, this could be the perfect role for you.

**How much?**

Up to **£32,670.74 per year** for a **37.5-hour week**, plus opportunities for overtime.

**What will I be doing?**

As a Damp and Mould Multiskilled Operative, you’ll:

- Carry out **first inspections and triage** of damp and mould issues in customer homes.
- Perform** multi-trade repairs works** including joinery, plastering, basic plumbing, decorating, and general property maintenance.
- Use smart devices to **record visit outcomes**, log customer queries, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Provide **empathetic advice** to customers on managing and preventing damp and mould.
- Escalate complex cases to surveyors or other specialists when needed.
- Work flexibly across the region and participate in a **call-out rota** (with advance notice).

**Who are we looking for?**

We’re looking for experienced tradespeople who have a solid background in repairs and maintenance, ideally within social housing. You’ll be confident working across multiple trades and able to carry out tasks independently to a high standard. Experience and knowledge of damp and mould is highly valued, and you’ll be comfortable using tablets and basic IT tools to manage tasks and communicate effectively. A proactive, customer-focused approach is essential, along with strong organisational skills and a full UK driving licence.
