Our centralised Internal Communications Team? The role of an Internal Communications Partner is to ensure that colleagues at all levels are informed in the right way at the right time and are clear on the journey we are on, the culture we have and who we are and what we stand for in a completely aligned way.

They will interface and partner with a range of stakeholders across the Group and support changes through communications which will support our strategic objectives.

**What would your day look like?**
- Partner to support colleagues across the Group as well as continuously developing the communications strategy and plan at a corporate level:

- engaging with the business strategy and plans, enabling them to engage with and understand their role in delivering our business priorities
- communicating the key strategic objectives and successes within and outside of their business area
- increasing awareness of and promoting those areas to the wider business
- reinforcing the culture and making our people feel positively connected to it
- Cocreate brilliant communications to align messaging across channels and build group-wide awareness of those business areas and how they underpin the business
- Build and develop a strong relationship with relevant members of ExCo and their senior leadership team to facilitate the delivery of excellent communications across the remit of this role
- Drive and support the leadership communications agenda, devising impactful plans which inform and support the management population to support their teams
- Work closely with the Group Communications team to:

- deliver relevant, clear and engaging communications plans across all relevant channels
- Continually seek and appraise creative and exciting new ways to communicate messages. Ensure alignment to the corporate channels
- Support the messaging and content for all activity identified in the Group communications plan.
- Develop communications reporting at a corporate level and in their functional area highlighting the effectiveness of the communications strategy
- Closely support the Senior Internal Communications Partner to deliver the vision and implement the Group Communications strategy

**What do we expect of you?**
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with a demonstrable track record in successful implementation
- Excellent knowledge of communications planning, engagement, events and change management approaches
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills and exemplary stakeholder management. Able to cultivate and maintain good working relationships and manage demanding and challenging clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Also, able to provide critical feedback and handle sensitive issues when needed. Can give highly credible advice and inspire confidence at all levels up to and including Executive team and can provide compelling and well thought out solutions to complex problems
- Excellent writing, editorial and presentation skills. Able to identify craft and deliver key messages, narratives and information in succinct and engaging ways within the brand tone of voice. Able to offer strategic communications advice and support
- Very strong project management skills, with the ability to self-manage, prioritising a wide number and variety of tasks to deliver overall objectives. Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail and applies sound judgment when faced with difficult decisions
- Good understanding of how all channels enable impactful communications strategies externally and internally
- A team player with a collaborative approach. Able to effectively support others and join the dots across the in the team with their performance and development
- Positive and enthusiastic with energy, commitment, and ability to deliver under pressure, changing priorities and tight deadlines. Able to balance a varied workload and have the flexibility and resilience to juggle competing demands
- A sound understanding of our business and wider industry issues, or the ability to rapidly acquire it. Experience of financial services would be an asset
