Adults Support Worker needed with West Sussex County Council

**Start Date**:

- Asap

**Location** - Bognor

**Duration** - Initially 3 months

**Hours per week** - Range of shift patterns available

**Salary** - £12.92ltd per hour

**Description**:

- Provide active support and enable customers in all aspects of their personal and physical care in line with individual provider plans, whilst maintaining their dignity, privacy, and independence.
- Responsible for monitoring, recording, and suggesting revisions to the provider plan to ensure that the needs of customers are met and communicate any concerns, deterioration or improvements of customers. This would include maintaining concise daily records.
- Exercise judgement regarding customers' ability to join in with a particular activity and pitch this at a level that is inclusive but stimulating.

**What is required?**
- Educated to GCSE level Grade A-C in English and Mathematics
- Knowledge of Health and Safety practice, First Aid and Fire procedure, Manual Handling is desirable
- NVQ 2 in Care or equivalent qualification is desirable
- Previous experience of working in a care setting and with people who have a disability or vulnerable customers is desirable
