**THE GIG**
Wollaston is the birthplace of the Dr. Martens Brand. Our Made In England collection is the pinnacle of the product range pyramid.
Our **MIE Factory, Component Quality Inspector** role will perform vital inspections and reports in the factory as part of the production team. Skilled in quality and inspection processes within a manufacturing environment, your eye for detail will ensure our standards are met in our making area. A multiskilled team of boots & shoemakers are utilised to deliver bulk orders and samples in a fully loaded fast paced, efficient multi-site department. The role reports directly to the Factory Manager.
As our **MIE Factory, Component Quality Inspector**, you will be responsible for:
- Inspecting, documenting and reporting on the quality of raw materials, components and sub-assemblies delivered to the MIE department
- Displaying a passion for our product matched with the ability to understand the required quality of the materials and components consumed in our Factory.
- A direct approach to addressing all quality issues, standard deviations and non-conformances. We’ll need you to recognise, record and refer to Factory Management any issues immediately so that time and resources are not wasted
- Investigatory skills and resolution of quality issues through a documented process that tracks performance.
