Quality Inspector

Due to continued growth we are looking to strengthen our team with a Quality Inspector in our Treatments Department.
**Specific Responsibilities**:
- Support the management of all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team.
- Conduct thorough inspections of all completed parts at the end of line and in-process
- Use measurement equipment such as verniers, mic's, gauges etc and be able to explain the results
- Review inspection results and document findings
- Work with quality, engineering, and production to recommend any corrective actions
- Follow SOP's and be able to train others on how to inspect products
- Perform patrol audits

- Quality concerns
- Production non-conformity
- Participating in various training opportunities as and when needed
- Keep up with current and developing manufacturing and processing trends that concern product quality.
- Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and contribute to team working initiatives.
- Encourage the continuation and sharing of good practice.
- Empower people to be proactive in their work.

- Monitor and self-manage housekeeping requirements in line with lean/5S principles.
- Ensure that the Quality Management System procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures.
**Essential Experience**
- Proven experience as a quality inspector in the automotive/aerospace industry or similar manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in using measurement tools & test equipment such as verniers, mics and gauges etc.
- Be able to interpret customer standards & specs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally & written
- Analytical skills & attention to detail with the ability to identify potential quality issues.
- Familiarity with quality tools, standards, and customer expectations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
**Ideal experience**
- Powder coating or wet paint
- Casting / forging
- Machining
The position is permanent, working a 39 hour week, 8.45am - 5pm Monday to Thursday & 7.45am - 1pm on Friday.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
