Newbury Racecourse PLC is an award-winning sporting, leisure and entertainment business. Based in West Berkshire, this multi-functional site plays host to 31 racedays per year. In addition, the racecourse operates a 120+ place children’s nursery, a 36-bedroomHotel and its own catering business.

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Digital Marketing Manager to take on this demanding position, lead our marketing team, become a key part of our executive team, and make insight-led strategic marketing decisions to impact the future of the racecourse. Thisis an excellent opportunity for an individual with the potential and ambition to grow quickly into a Head of Marketing role in the next 1-2 years.

The role will involve:

- Make insight-led strategic marketing decisions
- Development and implementation of our marketing strategy, with a particular focus on our biggest racedays
- Line management of our small marketing team
- Management of external support agencies
- Reporting and analysis of marketing activity to aid commercial decision-making
- Excellent modern marketing skills, with a specialism in digital
- A commercial mindset with the ability to make strategic decisions
- Strong sporting and venue knowledge, with an interest in horseracing as a bonus
- Self-motivation and confidence in their ability to 'move the dial’
- The interpersonal skills necessary to build strong working relationships quickly, with internal and external stakeholders and add value as part of the executive team
