We’re looking for an Assistant Change Project Manager to support the significant change our Force needs. You’ll play a key role in transforming the services we provide on a daily basis - services that prevent crime, support our community and ultimately improvepolicing where we live. Expect challenges - the scale of change means you’ll need to be resilient and prepared for setbacks. Whilst challenging however, this role will be hugely rewarding as you’ll see your progress make a genuine difference.

This isn’t your typical Assistant Project Manager role. You’ll be getting stuck into something much bigger, with masses of development opportunities, the ability to network with stakeholders at varying levels and deliver projects that impact Police Officers,Staff, the public and partner organisations. Exciting stuff right?

**What will I be doing?**
- Supporting project and programme managers within the team to follow and embed projects within the transformation programme
- Leading on less complex projects where you will need to capture, analyse, and document project information and risk management
- Monitoring quality/business assurance measures, including cost analysis, post implementation review and standards and procedures that meet the needs of the Force
- Assisting Change Project Managers to process reviews and facilitate meetings and improvement workshops
- Using multiple sources to gather and evaluate information that will enable you to support project deliverables and identify collaboration opportunities
- Proactively engaging with stakeholders to ensure our Force is at the forefront of improvement activity

You’ll be customer focused - we put our people at the heart of the change programme because they are the people using the systems every day It’s important that you ensure the operational changes are delivered successfully and have a positive impact on theusers.

**What do I need?**
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport, engage with and influence key stakeholders
- You’ll need to have supported or taken the lead on project delivery, preferably in an operational area
- Broad business understanding to support the development of new and improved working practices
- Experience of process improvement / process engineering and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience of achieving defined outcomes and operating in a matrix management environment

We’d love you to have a Project Management qualification (for example PRINCE2 practitioner or equivalent) but it’s not essential so don’t let that hold you back from applying.
