**Private Support/Care Worker**

**Variable Hours - Part-Time options for hours outside of school time/weekend and evening options are available**

**£11.00 per hour**

Our son has a loving, fun, and sociable nature but struggles with a seizure condition and autism for which he requires 2:1 support to maintain his safety.

The role will be to support our child to manage his emotions and with communication; to support with play therapy and support learning outside the classroom and if needed, administering medications during seizures. Our son loves interaction and engagement; the successful applicant will have great communication skills, empathy and patience, and a professional and positive approach, offering reliability and a willingness to offer flexibility around the needs of our child.

The role may include support on holidays, hospital visits, and some help with housework when needed. There are a variety of shifts available. Shifts are based around school hours so after-school cover and school holidays are essential with options for weekend work and overnights (twice a month) You will not be required to work on bank holidays which include Christmas Day or Boxing Day as we want to enjoy family time at those times.

Experience is desirable but not essential as full training based on the needs of our child will be given to ensure you are comfortable and confident with assisting with his support. This role would be a fantastic opportunity for anyone studying for or wanting experience in the health, social care, and education sector with opportunities to work alongside community nurses and teaching staff.

Hours are variable and we are happy to discuss both term time and/or school holiday shifts. Own transport / Car driver preferable but not essential.
