**In this role, you will**:

- Independently ideates and executes intermediate level alpha-generating trading strategies within defined program risk parameters.
- Identifies, analyzes, negotiates, and executes fee re-negotiations for open loan trades, as well as domestic and international equity loan trading opportunities. Leverages intermediate trading strategies within defined program risk parameters. Establishes and maintains external relationships with counterparties to ensure maximum benefit to Vanguard funds.
- Analyzes market conditions to identify lending opportunities across individual securities, sectors, and markets.
- Adheres to control standards to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures. Proactively seeks and identifies solutions to improve the Security Lending risk management program.
- Proactively identify and drive projects that will advance the knowledge and capabilities of the trading team.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

**What it takes**:

- Minimum of four years related work experience. Securities lending experience preferred.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Finance, Math, Engineering, or Economics degree preferred. Graduate degree preferred.
- CFA preferred.
