**Network Engineer - unsociable hours - 10pm - 6am most days**
**Homeworking when doing documentation and design**
**UK travel, mainly M4 Corridor and London but willing to work anywhere in the UK is essential, ideally visiting our HQ in Royal Wootton Bassett at least once per fortnight**
**£40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience**

The **Network Engineer** will be responsible for implementation of end-to-end network solutions, across routing, switching, security, data centre and wireless.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Require someone who can build a strong relationship with customers, display passion and enthusiasm for delivering brilliant IT solutions across wired and wireless networks
- Trusted advisor and technical contributor on technical projects, working with the team to ensure optimal service is delivered to our customers
- Installing, configuring and supporting solutions based on those vendor product ranges
- Assisting with pre-sales demonstrations and identifying upsell opportunities when conducting client estate audits
- Engage with our clients, demonstrating ISNs commitment to their success
- Proactively ensure customers' networks and the services we are providing are running at an optimal level
- Regularly review their technical estates to minimise vulnerability or risk to their network
- Contribute to an on-call rota, one week in five
- Responsible for implementation of end-to-end network solutions, across routing, switching, security, data centre and wireless

**Skills and Experience**
- Knowledge of WAN and LAN solutions, including network virtualisation
- Knowledge of VLAN implementation and support
- Good knowledge and experience of routing and switching, particularly across Cisco products
- Network Security knowledge and some experience of firewalls like Cisco ASA/FirePOWER would be advantageous
- Experience or interest in SDN, SD-WAN, Hyper-Converged and Hybrid-Cloud Data Centre Solutions would be useful, as this is very much the direction our business is moving
- Experience creating or updating technical and support documentation
- Up to date with emerging technologies and new solutions, to benefit the business and our customers
- Prior experience supporting WLC and wireless site surveys would be advantageous
- Experience configuring Cisco virtual appliances and VMware vCentre networking would be advantageous
- CCNA R&S is ideal, or the ability to gain the certification
- CCNA Security, CCDP or CCNP R&S/Security is highly advantageous
- Any training or certifications with other vendors is nice to have but not essential
