The home is set around a lovely old vicarage, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal care, including nursing and dementia care, for 42 residents. **_ Competencies for _**Senior Care Assistant** **_ Ability to work under pressure _** **_ Leadership skills_** **_ Excellent people skills _** **_ A caring and nurturing attitude_** **_ Positive and enthusiastic outlook _** **_ Good time management skills _** **_ Good written and oral communication skills _** **_ Prepared to take on extra training as required_** **_ - ** **_Day to Day Responsibilities for _**Senior Care Assistant** - As a Senior Care Assistant, you will provide the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting our residents in all aspects of daily living. - You will also be responsible for promoting our resident's independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing and to give input during shift handovers. - In this role you will be responsible for leading your shift to ensure high standards are maintained, and other members of the team feel supported. You will complete the daily medication rounds and document consistently without errors or any issues being picked up on the medication audits, as well as ensuring the daily charts are completed to a high standard by all team members on all shifts you will be responsible for leading. To will promote good practice in all aspects of care, and challenge poor practise from other team member. ensure one to ones for all care and support team members are done every two months and investigate complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager. **_ Essential Requirements for _**Senior Care Assistant** Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3). Minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant in residential / nursing home setting. Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning. To ensure knowledge is gained to demonstrate a good understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse. Live within 30 minutes of the Home. **_ Preferred Requirements for _**Senior Care Assistant** Two years' experience in a similar role in a nursing home.
