This is an exciting time to join **Depaul UK**. We have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced and goal-oriented **Support Worker**to join our team based in Stockport, Manchester. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £19,804 (FTE) Per Annum Plus Pension and Other Benefits.

Depaul UK works with some of the most disadvantaged young people in the UK. We specialise in working in communities where poverty and long-term unemployment have resulted in generations of social exclusion and high rates of homelessness

Over the past 30 years, we have grown as an organisation and developed and enhanced our work and the impact it has across the UK.Depaul UK has a wide range of services for young people and adults at risk of homelessness.

**The Support Worker Role:**

As Support Worker, you will manage a caseload of young people, addressing their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs so that they can develop the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

You will also run group sessions and other key activities within the accommodation to support the young people’s individual development and social engagement.
- Please note that this job is rota based which may include unsocial hours and weekend working (some shifts will be lone working), to ensure that our clients have full staff support during their most difficult times. Kindly see attached rota for more details._

**What we are looking for in our Support Worker**:

- You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK
- Great experience working with young people or those who have experienced homelessness
- A knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Ability to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures
