We are looking for a Liability Underwriter, based in London.

**Your Team**
At Allianz Commercial we combine specialist expertise and global reach with high levels of AA rated underwriting capacity to industry specific exposures. This allows us to establish a reputation as leaders of some of the largest and most complex Liability risks in the market.

**The Impact You Will Have**
Reporting to the Regional Team Leader, General Liability, you will work closely with clients and brokers to develop personalized solutions as well as developing new relationships. You will be responsible for underwriting profitable new and renewal business to meet Liability targets regionally, including global elements. Your responsibilities also include negotiating participation, pricing and terms & conditions, acquiring new business and retaining existing business.

**Some of your specific responsibilities could include**:

- Underwrite in line with the Liability governance framework, e.g. Underwriting Authorities, Underwriting Guidelines, Rules and Principles
- Ensure contract certainty is achieved on all accounts at time of inception
- Drive involvement of functional areas in the Underwriting process, including Market Management, Risk Consulting, Claims, Operations
- Contribute to the development and execution of regional Underwriting strategy for Liability
- Create and maintain positive relationships with key producers and clients and other relevant stakeholders, e.g. risk managers

**What You’ll Bring to the Role**
- Experience as an Underwriter or Broker in the Liability sector, preferably in the London market
- Ability to assess risk inherent exposures
- You have a robust understanding of the policy administration life cycle, information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, and cancellation
- You can express ideas and messages clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
- You create relationships with ease and communicate well at all levels, with a wide range of people
- Ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority
- You embrace agile working and engage in constant learning, to adapt to internal and external customer needs
- You can absorb information from various sources effectively, then analyze, study or examine data in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions
- Fluent English Language skills
